Brijuni National Park

Brijuni are located along the western coast of Istria, opposite the town of Pula. An interesting legend follows the formation of these 14 magnificent islands, but numerous visitors and rich tourist offer are proof to its popularity.

For many years, Brijuni were presidential residence, so they became a synonym for elite and health tourism. Today, because of the magical combination of unique flora and fauna, undersea world and rich cultural and historical heritage, Brijuni are quite attractive destination. Various exciting excursions are organized so you could truly discover this paradise on earth.

There are a several destinations you must see when visiting Brijuni. Preserved gazebo on Ciprovac is an exceptional example of architecture and was often exposed at the exhibitions, while Mausoleum of family Kuppelweiser hides a tragic story of the island’s owner. Koch stone quarry, named after the great scientist who saved the island from malaria and Čufar stone quarry, named after the skilled engineer of the beautiful promenade.

Istrian area is known for a variety of archaeological sites such as the beautiful Roman villa in Verige, villages Gradina and Kastrum with the Basilica of St. Mary, while Brijuni kredni park introduces visitors to the time of dinosaurs. Footprints of the various types of dinosaurs and fossilized remains can be seen at the Cape Pogledalo, Cape Ploče and peninsula Zelenika.

The oldest golf course is located on the Brijuni islands, while numerous yachtsmen confirm that Brijuni are ideal destination for peace and relaxation. Greenery and blue sea create a romantic setting and it is the perfect place for a wedding and creating truly wonderful memories.
